Temple
It was a very special experience being able to go through the Temple for the first time with Stephen and our parents. I won't ever forget it.

Baby animal day
This was my first time going to baby animal days at the american west heritage center in Logan. I have always wanted to go and it was amazing! I may be a bit obsessed with baby animals and they were all so cute.

Yard work and freezer jam
Stephen and I took a couple days to head to Kaysville and Provo. We helped Natalie with her yard and house a little bit. Then later that night Karyn, Aloha, and I made some strawberry freezer jam while the boys watched some football. I had never made freezer jam before and we had a fun time doing it. Something went wrong with Karyn's batch and it didn't set up but it was still amazing on some ice cream.
Easter Celebrations
Easter is one of my favorite Holidays, just like pretty much every other Holiday. This year I had my heart set on dying Easter eggs using veggies, and seasonings. It looked a little bit like I was brewing a potion or two and some of the seasonings smelled pretty awful but the eggs turned out beautiful. This is definitely my favorite way to decorate eggs now. Easter time is just so much fun. The weather is usually starting to get nice again and the spirit of Easter is so nice especially with conference always so close to it. On one date night close to Easter Stephen and I headed to buffalo wild wings so he could watch the game and I could eat nachos. This quickly became a routine for us to go there. It is pretty much the only way I can stand watching sports. Just give me wings and nachos. Before the game one night we went and saw the baby chicks and ducks. It is another thing I like to do around Easter time. It would be so fun one of these years to bring home a baby duck but if I ever do it will be just to foster for a couple days.
Easter morning when Stephen came by to pick me up for church I had him come in to see what the Easter bunny had left us. The Easter bunny decorated the front room very nicely and left us a little basket to share. After church we had dinner at my parents house and looked through our baskets that were there too. It was just my dad, Jimmy, and us because my mom and grandma were out of town. So in those cases we do what we always do and had steaks for dinner and of course it was delicious.

Easter Morning
No place I would rather be than with Stephen and Rusty watching conference.
Lasik
Stephen decided to get Lasik shortly after getting accepted at Ross. I always talked about how great it was after I had gotten it and we figured if he was going to do it he better just do it now rather than later. So I drove him to Hoopes Vision in Salt Lake and watched him get his Lasik done. It was a little scary being able to watch it but kind of cool at the same. They recorded it so he could watch it himself later. Afterwards he became pretty tired and ended up sleeping the whole drive home. He was a very good patient and now has better vision then me.
Kaylee's blessing day
This was our last road trip to Vegas for a while. Thankfully because the drive was starting to get really old. This time we went to Vegas was for sweet Kaylee's baby blessing. Stephen and I drove separate from his dad and Natalie. We went a couple days before them. On our first night there we let Marilee and Colby go out on a date while we babysat. This was Kaylee's first time being apart from her mom and dad. Wow it was a rough night. She started out fine taking her bottle from Stephen while I read a book with Clay. Then the crying started...She cried and then screamed and then combined screaming and crying the rest of the night. She finally quieted down when I think she had exhausted herself out too much to cry any longer. It was the saddest thing. Stephen took her to her room and rocked and sang to her the entire time. It was the sweetest thing. Clay and I just hung out together reading books and then telling stories while tucking him into bed.
The next day we went to feed the ducks at the park. Eventually the ducks started getting really greedy so Stephen had to put Clay on his shoulders so the ducks couldn't get to mad at him for not continually feeding them. It was still a lot of fun. Once Natalie and her dad made it the four of us went out to experience a true Vegas buffet for dinner. Stephen's dad was not impressed but we still look back on it and just laugh. Especially about how many desserts we ate. I can safely say that the idea of Vegas buffets being a good dinner option is over with. After dinner the four of us headed to Natalie and her dads hotel and played card games for a couple hours. We had a great time!
The next day was Kaylee's blessing day. She looked so pretty in her little white dress. It was a little sad because Stephen's mom and Natalie couldn't make it because they were at a funeral in Oregon. They were still able to listen to the blessing which was nice. Colby did a great job and it was really nice being able to be there for the blessing. Afterwards Colby's family and Stephen's all went to a little lunch at the park. It was right before we got to the park that Stephen found out he had got accepted to Ross University and that we would be moving to Dominica that next August. It was a really exciting day and we talked about what would soon become our new adventure the whole drive home.

Valentines Day
Stephen surprised me Valentines morning by decorating our little family room table with candies, roses, and a card. We got fun cards from Clay in the mail that he drew for us. We went to dinner at the Elements and had delicious shrimp, steak, and dessert.
Flowers from my dad. He never forgets.
Roses from my love!
